It is beautiful to be around people who understand your value, understand why you act the way you do and why certain decisions you take though not common are for good. Being in a situation where the opposite of this happens can be physically and mentally draining. If care isn’t taken, you may begin to doubt your worth. This is why we don’t encourage people to be where they are not wanted or where their value is unappreciated. The only thing it takes for you to doubt yourself is just a tiny seed of doubt raised by someone, maybe in a position of power or someone you value their opinion. Be careful, protect yourself, and know when to leave a bad situation. (The video version of this is here- https://youtu.be/tZi-d2NgKWc?si=lbpl7Dd5D8cYDI2Q
You do not have to do too much or extra for people who know your worth or value to see you and accord you the respect you deserve. If you have invested in yourself, in your relationships and done your bit to become who you are today, value this investment and do not allow undeserving people make you doubt yourself and your years of hard work. It is important to keep your mind positive, energized and in the right atmosphere for creativity to flow. A wrong environment and being around the wrong crowd can discourage this, so do away with these negativities. It is important for your close circle to know you very well. Your friends should be able to tell you the truth so that where the criticisms you receive are positive ones, you take them and work on yourself. Do not lump together negative words or negative environments with positive criticisms. Do not confuse them, if you have difficulty knowing which is which, speak to a confidant.
Personal growth is worth it. Any statements made by people around you to encourage you should be appreciated and not shunned. While we encourage leaving bad situations or environments, it is not the same as not knowing how to take good criticisms when they are given. Work on yourself and become the version that you are proud of.
Have a fruitful week!
