Thinking can be a hard job especially when that action is imperative to the success or otherwise of a venture. Imagine being the head of a project, a group or a company where the bulk of the decision-making lies with you, you know that the success of that work depends majorly on what you do or do not do. It is totally understandable to sometimes feel overwhelmed by the burden of your position or responsibilities. The popular saying ‘uneasy lies the head that wears the crown’ cannot be more apposite.

Do you know it is possible to shoulder all your responsibilities without feeling the burden of those responsibilities? Firstly, recognize that you are a busy individual with limited time, and you need to deliver impactful results for your team within a set time frame. Knowing this makes you not to be afraid when the pressure of those responsibilities come. You simply take them in your strides.

Secondly, you have to be prepared mentally and in fact everyday to encounter unexpected changes or challenges in your works. What the mental preparation does is that whenever those challenges or unexpected interruptions happens your brain wouldn’t interpret them as stressors, that way you comfortably handle those changes or challenges well.

Thirdly, you have to ensure that the people around you understand the position you occupy and what is required from you. This will enable them to assist you in any way they can to make it easy for you to deliver on your responsibilities. It may also make them understand and maybe forgive you if you fail to show up for certain social functions.

Finally, the word stressors would not be in your dictionary if you devote time to find out what your stressors or triggers are. If you do this you would know what to do to avoid certain stressors or what to do to minimize them, that way you comfortably deliver on your tasks and the expectations of your team, clients, and family without feeling the weight of those responsibilities.
