Form the habit of writing down your thoughts or feelings at a particular time. This may help you understand your growth or what you should be thankful for in the future.

We live life in stages; you can only graduate to stage three when you have finished the first and second stages. Sometimes, looking back at your penned-down thoughts from some years back would give you an insight into how far you have come, and whether you are still on track with achieving your dreams and aspirations. (You can see the video version of this here-https://youtu.be/b4AkTEXlizk?si=1g2XuAkfSRey4vPI )

Writing down your thoughts does not necessarily mean you should `write’, it simply means you should put it down in a permanent form. It could be voice notes, videos, and any other permanent form capable of reminding you of what you were doing, or what your thoughts were at a particular period. Like I said earlier, it helps you to assess your growth, and how far you have come. It may help if you can pick out someone you are motivated by their life story, especially someone who is successful. If you analyze their life, you will realize they had a habit of reviewing their actions, thoughts, and past, because by doing this, they learn from their mistakes, check whether they are on course, and then immediately address whatever does not tally with their set goals and aspirations.

To make any impact in any area of endeavor, you should not be afraid to look back. Some people are afraid to look back because they may not like what they see. But bold people look back, give themselves thumbs up for what they have done well, and admonish themselves on where they haven’t, then set immediately to take steps to correct the actions they hadn’t taken well.

What do you want your future to look like? It starts by taking actions today that will give you the future you desire. It may require looking back, in order to understand what your situation was, what it is today, and how you can make the future you want. So, start today to create the tomorrow you want.

Have a good week!
