Those precious moments…

When people say seize the opportunity to do this or that, they fail to understand that these opportunities are not always there for all to see. Sometimes, it takes a person with a deeper insight to see a hidden opportunity. Why? Some opportunities do not appear as such, in fact, most times, they come with a lot of problems that the majority would steer clear of. So, it only takes one who knows an opportunity to seize one! (You can see the video version of this here – https://youtu.be/UNEDm48NcuQ?si=4mpifkwniNlaIdW8)

How do you identify opportunities? How do you know what opportunity to seize? Simple, anywhere there is a problem, there is an opportunity to find a solution to that problem. Your reward lies in being ingenious in providing those solutions. In a nutshell, finding a workable solution to a problem is one of the ways to “seize an opportunity”.

So what are the opportunities lying around you that you have ignored? It is not too late to provide solutions to that problem. Of course, there are many problems cum opportunities, only solve the problems you know you can solve, and leave the rest for those that have sufficient skills and know-how to solve that problem.

So, the first step is to identify a problem, and the next step is to ask yourself whether you can fulfil a need there, if your answer to the second is no, it simply means there are no opportunities for you to explore in that situation.

Most times in a bid to appear industrious, or satisfy that human craving for more, people tend to forget that not all opportunities should be exploited. Before getting excited about “an opportunity”, do your research. You may possess the skill to provide a solution to a problem, but the situation or just other circumstances surrounding that “opportunity” may make it a foolhardy one for you to go into that situation. So really your watchword should be vigilance! If it is not worth it, don’t force it!

Have a fruitful week!
